"There Goes The Neighborhood"

Fights, falling down drunks and crazy screaming bitches. Oh ya and one of the most kick ass high energy bands you'll ever hear. Canada's Tragically Hip has a loyal and extremely enthusiastic following. In fact it seemed that the majority of the sold out 1200 capacity House of Blues was filled with Canadians who had made the trek from the greater Toronto area. I was familiar with "The Hip" but have not seen them in over 15 years. They did not disappoint. This place was C-R-A-Z-Y. If you are looking for a pristine recording with no audience interference, keep looking. This was recorded from the middle of the floor, general admission 20' from the stage, and these people were having fun! At one point you can hear me as I turn to my buddy, who was also recording, and say "we've got a man down" as another person hit the floor behind us.
Sonically, the recording is not too bad, so crank it up, grab yourself a Labatts and enjoy.
